Philips Senior Electrical Engineer in Suzhou, China

In this role, You are responsible for

  • Switching mode Power Supply, high power inverter, and electrical circuits development including circuits simulation, schematic design, components selection, magnetic parts design, PCB layout checking and circuit debugging for high power distrubition

  • Communication and technical feasibility discussion with team members in concept stage

  • Detailed design delivery for product with high-power (technical product spec, DFMEA, electronics system architecture, design review, validation & verification, etc.) during PDLM execution

  • Perform trouble shoot and root cause analysis on issues from customer or production line, as well as design verification and product validation, ensure deliverables have no risk in safety and reliability.

  • Work with global or local technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects, or initiatives.

  • Ensure design for reliability, performance, and high-quality product delivery through supplier relationships.

You are a part of

The newly formed IGT Cluster R&D organization in Philips China and located in Suzhou: a global extension of the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Business Unit of Philips Healthcare. This Business Unit is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-Ray systems for cardiac or vascular medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g., balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe. The team will workon lifecycle management (PQ&M) and new product introductions (PDLM).

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in power electronic engineering, or related field equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 years power electronics engineering experience

  • Familiar with power electronic production development process

  • Demonstrated experience in analog, digital, power, PCB layout, EMC/EMI , IEC60601 safety electrical design.

  • Familiar with Power transformer, cable, power topology, mosfet, SiC, IGBT.

  • Knowledge in design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, Cost, second sourcing.

  • Experience for power supply topology LLC, Phase shift full bridge or three level circuits is preferred.

  • Working experience with the global R&D and engineering organizations preferred.

  • Good English communication skills.

  • Able to work in cross functional teams

  • Good communication skills in English

  • Proactive and energetic

  • Hands on and accurate

  • Experience in SAFe is a pre

  • Quality and improvement driven
