Reporting to the Port & Logistics Superintendent, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading, coaching, training and mentoring the warehouse team for safe and effective operation of the warehouses, yards, and ports. The Supervisor works closely with operational plant teams, Inventory Controller and Buyers to aid achieving an inventory accuracy and fill-rate outlined by the operation. This role is based at our Mary River mine in Nunavut on a 3X3 rotation.

Main Accountabilities

• Develop and implement a safety program, where safety ownership is paramount to the department, one that engages employees in safety ownership through participation.

• Provide leadership to a team of direct reports by providing hiring recommendations, establishing objectives, providing performance feedback, and delivering disciplinary actions. Instil a team culture of high-performance, operational discipline and accountability; ensure effective communications across work areas, clarity of expectations and continuous review of performance measures to consistently deliver upon business objectives

• Develop and implement Training programs for employees that bring zero harm to the employees and the environment. Manage the delivery of the training, and measure effectiveness of the program as well as competencies of the employees.

• Develop and implement processes and procedures such as cost effective material handling & task list that focus on Safety, Continuity, and Productivity.

• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department. Ensure delivery of the KPIs by inspecting and evaluating work in progress, identifying any problem areas, and directing remedial action.

• Ensure sufficient staffing, materials, and equipment is available for each rotation and projected project activities by reviewing and estimating requirements and presenting for approval.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and materials for efficient picking by generating cycle count documents, and following up and resolving deficiencies.

• Maintain the facility by generating work order notifications and purchase requisition for requirements for tools and materials.

Main Qualifications

• Certificate in First Aid & CPR/AED Level III

• Certificate in 5 Whys Investigation is an asset

• Certificate in 5S or equivalent training experience

• Minimum five (5) years of consistent supervisory/managerial supply chain related experience including mines/northern locations.

• Minimum three (3) years of experience with SAP (Materials Movement module)

• Experience as a Supervisor in an union environment

• Experience with remote camp/fly-in, fly-out

• Experience in the Arctic is an asset
