    Job Description Summary

    As a Quality Engineer at AAM, you will report to the Manager of Quality. and will facilitate the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management Systems and support the IATF/ISO System Requirements. This position is also responsible for the management of Supplier Quality Activities.

    • In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our quality management systems.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain our quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Create and manage documentation relating to quality systems, including procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
    • Train employees on quality assurance processes and standards to ensure consistent understanding and compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve quality-related issues.
    • Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in quality regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Audit raw material suppliers to assess quality systems compliance.
    • All other duties as assigned.

       


    Education & Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Quality Engineering, or related degree. Or five to seven years of experience and education combined.
    • Proven experience in quality assurance, quality management, or a similar role
    • Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS9100, IATF16949, ISO 9001, ISO14001)
    • Strong understanding of Core Tools and Problem Solving
    • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
