THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will be responsible for managing a team of commercial marketers to drive the growth in the Cardiometabolics portfolio in the international markets (EMEA, APAC, LAC). This will be done through a strategic approach to the market, customers and lead generation. The job will require close collaboration with CM sales leadership to ensure alignment of strategy and commercial execution. Relationship management across the spectrum of healthcare stakeholders and other strategic business partners to identify opportunities and drive fulfilment of needs that fit to Abbott technologies and capabilities will also be critical.

Top responsibilities:

  • Encourage cross-functional, cross-region best practice sharing, collaboration and leverage top talent throughout the CM commercial organization.

  • Understand the dynamics of the point-of-care market, the health economic environment and competitor strategies to develop a detailed annual strategic business and action plan. The plan should encompass market dynamics, reimbursement policy, competitors, customer targeting strategy, user community, KOL mapping and engagement, selling skills enhancement plan, local channel communication plan.

  • Manage the team to provide local forecasts, business reports and information flow to regional/divisional management as required on a timely basis; provide updates to key stakeholders within the organization.

  • Work with local opinion leader customers to influence the entire market to fully adopt current and future reimbursement policy, to maximize usage with Abbott Products.

  • Understand all POC pathway stakeholder needs by building strong business relationships with contacts at all levels - consultants, clinical directors, senior hospital management, procurement & service development leads.

  • Business planning and project planning

  • Analytical, creative and operational marketing skills

  • Understanding of diagnostic point of care products and their intended use within the health care system

  • Understanding of European, Asian, Latin American, Canadian and Middle Eastern sales environment and market conditions

  • Project management skills

  • Minimum 10 years related sales and marketing experience.

  • Medical devices industry

  • Multinational companies experience
